Active Accounts
This area allows you to make changes to a SiteStats Live! account. You can also change vital information such as e-mail address and password associated with the account.


Account Information
These are the basic settings for your SiteStats Live! account.

Title

This is the name of the account. Usually the company name of the account you are tracking.

Password

This is the password for this SiteStats account.

Account Number

This is the account number of the account you are tracking.

Keyword Click Value

This is the value in cents (pennies) that you wish to apply to each hit your tracked pages receive from a search engine query. This is quite useful in tracking the value of advertising with search engines on targeted keyword advertising.

"Click Value" is crucial for tracking the value of your traffic. If you estimate that every 20 visitors to your site provides you with $50.00 in total sales, you might want to set this value 250 ($2.50) per visitor referred to your site by a keyword search on a search engine This provides you with a quick estimate of what your website traffic is worth in terms of dollars.

You can also reset any saved statistics on Keyword Click Value by clicking on the "Reset Statistics" button. Once statistics have been cleared, they cannot be restored again, so make sure that this is what you want to do.

E-Mail

This is the E-mail account associated with the SiteStats LIVE account.

Time Zone

This will help you localize times to your location rather than the SiteStats servers.

Domains

These are the domains that this SiteStats account is able to track for you. Hits to any tracked page in these domains will be combined for tracking statistics totals.

Modify Account

This allows you to change the Name, Password or E-mail address for this SiteStats account.

Reset Statistics

This will clear ALL previously gathered statistics for this account. Use this option with care.


Web Pages to Track
This section allows you to manage the pages you are tracking.

Backup

With this option selected, your pages will be backed up before modification. To restore the page outside of the SiteStats LIVE interface, locate the file and remove the '.bak' from the end of the file name.

View SiteStats JavaScript

This displays the JavaScript to be inserted into your web pages. You may not edit the script here. It is suggested that you not modify the script other than to relate the exact URL location of the page itself.

Select Web Pages

Browse your computer for your web pages with this interface. Then select the files you wish to insert the SiteStats JavaScript into. Double clicking on a file will open it in your web browser (if it is a web page) so you can find out if you are modifying the correct page.

Web Pages to Track

In order for SiteStats Live! to function properly, you must insert the SiteStats Live! JavaScript into each page you would like to gather statistics on. Simply inserting the code into your home page will only gather stats for the home page. Each page need the code to make it live.

To insert the SiteStats Live! code, simply select the web pages you want to track on the left side of the display and click on "Add Selected Files" You can add all the pages in a folder by clicking on "Add All FIles." By default, the "Backup each Web Page before adding SiteStats Javascript" is enabled. We highly recommend that you leave this box checked so that you can restore a backed-page in case of error.

To insert the code into your selected pages, simply click on the "Add Javascript" button below the file display on the right. You can also remove the SiteStats Live! JavaScript from any of your pages by clicking on the "Remove JavaScript" button at the bottom right.

Show

enter the file types you wish to have the ability to edit here. By default, SiteStats will edit .html and .htm files. Separate the file types by a semicolon (;) and do not use spaces.

Add Selected Files

The Select Files button will allow you to insert or remove the SiteStats JavaScript to or from the selected file(s).

Add All Files

The Select All button will allow you to insert or remove the SiteStats JavaScript to or from all pages in the currently selected directory on your hard drive.

Files to Process

This is a list of the chosen web pages to insert or remove the SiteStats JavaScript to or from.

Remove Selected Files

This button will remove the SiteStats JavaScript from the files listed in the Files to Process list.

Clear

This will remove all files from the Files to Process list.

Add JavaScript

This button will insert the SiteStats JavaScript into all pages selected in the Files to Process list.

Remove JavaScript

This button will remove the SiteStats JavaScript from all pages selected in the Files to Process list.
